Mullaghmore , County Sligo, is approximately 2.75 (235kms) hours from Dublin. From the M50 take the M4 / N4 to Sligo (200kms). From Sligo take the N15 Bundoran / Donegal road north for approximately 24kms to the village of Clifony where you turn left onto the Mullaghmore Peninsula, the dive site is approximately 2 kms away just off the R279.
Mullaghmore is a renowned surfing spot, which usually doesn’t bode well for divers, however on a calm day the north of the headland offers a very interesting shore dive with a series of gullies of varying widths heading out from the shore.
Park at Mullaghmore Head (54.47253,-8.45660) - you should be able to see see some flat rocks protruding from the see about 100m out, snorkel out until you are about 20 meters from the reef, then drop down and head north following a wall until it opens out into a gully that descends to about 25 metres.
This is a very exposed dive site - so one for the calm days.
